There's even more great news for overnight singing superstar Susan Boyle.

On a major charitable auction site, Boyle has come in ahead of Latina Grammy-winning megastar as her friends call her — on a list of the women men would most pay to date




Other than her incredible talent, the 48-year old Scot has little in common with the other primped, coiffed, pampered and generally egomaniacal women, In fact, Boyle came in ninth out of the ten megastars named -- which may be more surprising for Number 10 JLo than it is for Boyle.





Tennessee native Megan Fox of "Transformers" fame tops the auction site's list. Singer Cheryl Cole, who is a British singer and member of the band Girls Aloud. As part of Girls Aloud and as a featuring artist, Cole has had 21 UK Top Ten singles. She may not be able to make the auctioneed date even if she wins: She's married to the Chelsea and England football player Ashley Cole.




Hollywood's highest-paid actress and multiple Oscar winner Angelina Jolie, whose partner is the equally sexy and wealthy actor Brad Pitt, came in third. Between her movie schedule and her rearing of almost a hundred children, she may sinmply be too exhausred to me much fun on a date. But Brad's not compalining.

JENNIFER LOPEZ burst into tears the moment she realised her husband MARC ANTHONY had organised a surprise party for her 40th birthday.

The singer/actress reached the milestone on Friday (24Jul09) and to celebrate, Anthony arranged a secret bash in New York on Saturday night (25Jul09), without his wife's knowledge.




The Latino singer whisked the Hollywood star to the event in a grey Bentley sportscar, arriving outside the city's Edison Ballroom to hoards of screaming fans.





And when Lopez spotted a marquee with her nickname 'Lola' spelled out in gold lettering, she discovered her partner's plan and burst into tears. Anthony called the event An Evening for Lola in honour of his wife.





The star was greeted by pals including Liza Minnelli, Ricky Martin and producer LA Reid, as well as friends and family members who had flown in to help her celebrate.

Jennifer Lopez is denying reports that she’s in the running to replace American Idol judge Paula Abdul, who still hasn’t signed a contract with Idol producers to return for season 8 of the FOX hit singing competition.

A rep for Lopez tells PEOPLE exclusively, “The rumor of Jennifer Lopez throwing herself in the ring to take over for Paula Abdul is completely false.





Jennifer loves Idol but just as a fan. She just wrapped the feature film The Back-Up Plan, due out January 2010, and will release an album then as well.




Lopez turned 40 on Friday and her rep adds, “This weekend Jen is celebrating her birthday with friends and family.




The reports surfaced after Lopez and Idol host Ryan Seacrest were spotted having dinner at Madeo in Los Angeles earlier this month.




Seacrest told paparazzi outside Madeo that “Jennifer and Paula would be a hell of a combination”

"I was no longer in control of my life. I thought I wanted certain things, but I didn't. I got lost. I felt suffocated, miserable and gross. I should never have gone down that route or got sucked in to all the publicity," he said.

He admits he is much happier now with his wife Jennifer Garner and their two daughters, three-year-old Violet and six-month-old Seraphin






Hollywood actor Ben Affleck has spoken out about his high-profile relationship with former girlfriend insisting it was bad for his movie career





The actor began dating the singer-actress in 2002 after starring in Gigli with her, and the pair later became engaged before splitting up shortly before their scheduled wedding in 2004. Affleck now is adamant he should never have got involved in the first place because the publicity surrounding their romance tainted his career, reports contactmusic.com.











"I was typecast as myself. Too many people weren't getting past what they read about me. That was damaging. I can tell from experience it's bad for you, and bad for your career. So I took a break, went away for a while and let things calm down," he added.

"Work has taken a back seat. My job is not as important as it was. Saying that having a family changed my life is a cliche. But it's true - it re-arranged my life and made me see clearly," he said.
